After reviewing proposals from multiple venues, your Board has settled on the Hotel Elegante’ Conference and Event Center. We believe you’ll feel very welcomed and comfortable here. Please check their website at hotelelegante.com. The Elegante’ has been designated a Purple Heart Hotel and truly loves to host military reunions. As you’ll discover on their site, several restaurants, an ice cream shop and stores are all on site.
They are aware that quite a few of you will come to town prior to the reunion and that some may choose to remain afterwards. Therefore, room rates are extended to include 3 days prior and 3 days post-reunion. While we have asked for a block of 30 rooms (or more if needed) all attendees must make their own reservation with a credit card. Rates for standard (1)King or (2) Queen beds is $135/night plus tax. Daily on-site breakfast at the Rustler Restaurant is included with your room. The phone number to call is 800-981-4012. Please ID yourself as a member of the Burton Island Association or reference Group Reservation #2769005. The hotel allows early check-in on Sunday, August 29 at 1500, with most of us checking in on Monday, August 30. A hospitality room will be available beginning on Sunday and will serve as our ‘nerve center’ throughout the week. The free hotel shuttle bus is available for local venues; we will be contracting with tour bus operators for tour transportation.

Well shipmates, mark your calendars and start planning to join your friends in Colorado Springs, Colorado from Monday, August 30- Friday, Sept. 3, 2021. Some good news: beginning in the Spring of 2021, Southwest Airlines will have direct flights to Colorado Springs from many major airports in the U.S.

Tour rebuilt western town, displays, shops, and gardens. Concert features The Flying W Wranglers who are the second oldest western singing band in the world. The current five-member band was chosen from over 300 auditions! Visit their website and select the Wrangler Tribute to hear their harmonies.” Hint: the Wranglers entertained troops in Vietnam and have been featured at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
